The RDA Cell was established with the objective of creating in-house capability for original research on issues directly influencing textiles and clothing trade. The personnel manning the various positions in the Cell are technocrats with background and experience in the sector. They are equipped to undertake research and untangle intricate problems incisively to reach efficacious conclusions. The Cell actively participates in the decision making process of the Government on issues ranging from Rules/regulations, technology upgradation, infrastructure and skill development to tariff structure rationalization etc. The RDA Cell regularly prepares analytical reports on different issues including Government policy interventions for the support of the industry and its exports, trends in imports including machinery/equipment and raw materials specially affecting performance of the sector. The Cell now is equipped with international database and interactive website which is supporting RDA Cell in extending its outreach to the stakeholders.
