Introduction |
Ministry of Textile Industry has established a Research, Development and Advisory Cell to review factors influencing the performance of Pakistan’s Textiles and Clothing industry based on analyses of international trade statistics, policies of major Textiles and Clothing exporting & importing countries, tariffs, Trade Agreements and factors generally contributing to cost of doing business.
The Cell has also developed a management information system to provide information and data on international trade events etc.

Trade Analysis |
The international trade database developed by the RDA Cell contains trade statistics
of 165 Countries covering the period 2003 to 2007 based on the Harmonized Commodity
Description and Coding System 2002 (HS 2002) at 6 digit level. Currency of the data
is synchronized with the UN Comtrade updates.
